Sharpening details, Pollyanna creates pauses in time from the landscape in which she lives. Through the beauty of this English landscape creeps the wild and delicately foreboding atmosphere that becomes so apparent when living amongst it. As this work is becoming more figurative she is drawing inspiration from the women in portraiture of the past, and asking questions about being a woman then and now.
